We need an experienced front-end developer to spearhead the migration of our ActionScript / Flex-based e-learning platform to HTML5.
 
The ideal candidate will be comfortable programming in HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3 using ReactJS framework and Bootstrap to build an eLearning Single Page Application.  You will be part of a team converting our current Flash platform to HTML5, which may require digging through legacy code written in multiple languages.  We seek someone who relishes learning new technologies and languages, enjoys improving upon existing solutions, and who would enjoy working closely with experts from education, linguistics, audio engineering, and other disciplines.

Overall Responsibility
Your job will be leading the migration of our current e-learning platform from ActionScript / Flex / Flash to HTML5. 
 
Required Qualifications
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5+ Years developing HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript Single Page Applications
  • Working knowledge of ReactJS, Flux, JSX, SASS, JQuery, and Bootstrap
  • Experience with GIT version control
  • Experience using OO methodologies in designing software solutions
  • Strong understanding of design patterns and development frameworks such as MVC, MVVM, Flux
  • Experience mentoring junior to mid-level engineers
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Node.js, Webpack, and npm
  • Experience with Jenkins build server
  • Experience with Jest testing framework
