Title:Content Developer/Linguist
ID:114
Department:Content
Location:Los Angeles, CA
Description
Do you want to work for a company that makes a difference in people’s lives by teaching people of different cultures how to get along, how to talk to each other?  A company that teaches people the interpersonal communication skills they need to succeed at their jobs?  That helps people become better learners?

Do you want to find a place where you can apply your linguistics education? To help people learn languages and communicate with one another? To work with and analyze uncommon languages? To develop engaging instructional content featuring automatic speech recognition and natural speech understanding? How about working in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams including software engineers, 3D artists, audio/video specialists, and quality assurance specialists?  Do you thrive in an informal work environment?   Would you like having every other Friday off?

Fast forward a year from today: You will have designed and developed cutting-edge language learning activities and simulations. You’re leading a team of content developers in creating new language learning solutions. You’re contributing to new product designs, proposals, prototypes, and language learning technologies.

The ideal candidate will have experience researching and teaching foreign languages.  Your candidacy will leap to the top if you have experience in instructional design, leading small teams, serious games, and Modern Standard Arabic.

If you want this to be your story, send us your resume with a half-page write-up of your most significant accomplishments in linguistic research and teaching languages.  More important than specific skills or prior experience is the drive to get things done and the belief that none of us is smarter than all of us.
