Title:  Manager of Content Development
 
Reports to: Vice President, Production
 
Required:
  • 2+ years of experience leading teams in developing technology-based learning, e-learning, instructional content development, instructional design, or applied research
  • Experience using proprietary and/or 3rd-party tools for organizing, authoring and implementing course content
  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Cultural Anthropology, Linguistics, Education, Psychology or related field
Strongly Preferred:
  • PhD in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Cultural Anthropology, Linguistics, Education, Psychology or related field
  • Experience developing curricula and assessments for higher education or government clients
  • Experience designing learning and training solutions for adult learners for both online and mobile platforms
  • Experience with content management systems, particularly job aids and repositories
  • Experience with UI/UX design or game design
  • Knowledge of additional languages besides English

Duties:
  • Oversee content developers in the design, research, authoring, and implementation of instructional content and social simulations for cross-cultural competency, language acquisition, soft skills, business communication, leadership, and management courses.
  • Review content for quality and ensure that there is a review process for content utilizing either in-house or external subject matter experts.
  • Coordinate with project managers and department leads for art, audio/video, software engineering, and quality assurance. Make staffing recommendations, support project schedules and uphold department milestones and deadlines.
  • Manage department data and resources, including the content development methodology, content data repository, authoring tools resources, roster of subject matter experts, style guide, and job aids.
  • Contribute to business development with white papers, proposal writing, concept design, and project estimates.
  • Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and professional development of content developers. Provide and receive regular feedback on performance.
  • Represent Alelo in communications with client, stakeholders, and at industry events.
This position requires US Citizenship for government clearance eligibility.
